The MTS post carries Pay Level-01 under the 7th CPC, with a pay scale of Rs18,000–Rs56,900. Selected employees are also entitled to applicable allowances such as DA, HRA and Transport Allowance, along with other benefits admissible to CSIR employees.

Selected candidates will initially remain on probation for two years from the date of taking charge, subject to the applicable rules.
