Important Dates

Applications are accepted only through Speed Post/Courier. Applications sent by email, hand delivery or any other mode will not be accepted.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs 500 for candidates who are required to pay it.

• Fee must be paid through Demand Draft (DD).
• DD should be drawn in favour of Director, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, payable at Bengaluru.
• Candidate's name and father's name should be written on the back of the DD.
• SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD and Women candidates are exempted from the application fee.
• The fee is non-refundable.

Age Limit

The age should be calculated as on the last date of receipt of hard-copy applications, i.e. 21 September 2026.

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed SSC/10th Standard from a recognized Board/Institution. The qualification must be obtained from a recognized Board/Institution.

Other Eligibility

• Candidate must be Indian citizen.
• The prescribed age and educational qualification must be fulfilled by the closing date.
• Candidates claiming reservation or age relaxation must submit valid certificates.
• Original documents may be required during document verification.

CSIR NAL MTS Selection Process 2026

1. Application Screening: Applications are initially screened based on the information and documents submitted by candidates.
2. Shortlisting: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and recommended by the Screening-cum-Selection Committee will be called for the written examination.
3. Written Examination: The examination will be an OMR-based objective-type multiple-choice competitive examination.
4. One Paper: The MTS written examination consists of one paper.
5. Exam Centre: The written examination will be conducted only in Bengaluru.
6. Merit List: The merit list will be prepared based on candidates' performance in the written examination.
7. Document Verification: Original certificates/documents will be verified.
8. Final Selection: Candidates who satisfy all eligibility conditions and qualify as per the merit process will be selected.
9. Cancellation: Candidature can be cancelled if false information or invalid documents are found during verification.

CSIR NAL MTS Exam Pattern 2026

• Exam Mode: OMR-based MCQ
• Exam Standard: Class 10
• Duration: 2 hours
• Medium: English, Hindi and Kannada, except English Language questions.
• Correct Answer: 3 marks
• Wrong Answer: 1 mark deducted.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates for the MTS post will receive Pay Level-1 under the 7th CPC, with a pay scale of:

Rs 18,000 – Rs 56,900

In addition to basic pay, applicable allowances such as DA, HRA and Transport Allowance and other benefits are available according to CSIR/Central Government rules. Other benefits mentioned include NPS, medical facilities, LTC and Children Education Allowance, as applicable.

2. Carefully read Advertisement No. 11/2026.
3. Fill the application form neatly in the prescribed format.
4. Affix a recent self-attested colour passport-size photograph.
5. Sign the application in the prescribed space.
6. Attach self-attested copies of educational and other required certificates.
7. If applicable, prepare the Rs 500 Demand Draft in favour of the Director, CSIR-NAL, payable at Bengaluru.
8. Write your name and father's name on the back of the DD.
9. Place the application and documents in a single envelope.
10. Superscribe the envelope with “Application for the Post of MTS, Advt. No.11/2026.”
11. Send the application only through Speed Post/Courier.
12. Ensure that it reaches CSIR-NAL by 21 September 2026, 5:00 PM.
