Clerk Selection Process

The Clerk recruitment includes:

1. Punjabi Language Test
2. Main Examination
3. Punjabi & English Typing Proficiency Tests

The Punjabi Language Test is qualifying in nature, carries 50 marks, and requires 50% marks. There is no negative marking.

The Main Examination consists of 100 MCQs for 100 marks, with questions from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Punjab History and Culture, Reasoning, Punjabi, English and ICT. A minimum of 40% marks is required, with 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.

For the typing test, candidates must achieve at least 30 words per minute in both Punjabi and English, with a maximum of 8% mistakes in each test.

Storekeeper Selection Process

Storekeeper candidates will appear for:

• Punjabi Language Test
• Main Examination
• Merit Preparation
• Document Verification

The Main Examination has 100 questions and 100 marks, divided into 30 marks for Part-A and 70 marks for Part-B. Candidates must secure at least 40% separately in both parts.

Part-B covers Commercial Mathematics, GST, Foreign Exchange, Insurance, Store Keeping, Material Management, and Condemnation & Disposal of Stores.

Steno Typist Selection Process

The Steno Typist selection process includes:

1. Punjabi Language Test
2. Main Examination
3. Shorthand Proficiency Test
4. Merit List
5. Document Verification

The shorthand test is conducted in English and Punjabi, with dictation at 80 words per minute. Candidates can have a maximum of 8% mistakes in each language.

The final Steno Typist merit carries:

• Exam-II: 30%
• English Shorthand: 35%
• Punjabi Shorthand: 35%

for a total of 100%.
