Age Limit for TGC 145

Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess:
- BE/B. Tech, or
- M.Sc. Computer Science in the notified engineering streams/equivalent streams.
Final-year engineering students can also apply provisionally, subject to the conditions in the notification. They must provide proof of passing the engineering degree examination with all semester/year marksheets by 1 July 2027.
Candidates whose final-year/final-semester result will be declared after 1 July 2027 are not eligible.
Engineering degrees obtained from foreign countries are also not accepted for this course.
Nationality
Candidates must meet the nationality conditions prescribed by the notification. These include Indian citizens and specified categories of Nepalese citizens and persons of Indian origin, subject to the eligibility-certificate requirements mentioned in the notification.

Indian Army TGC 145 Selection Process
The selection process broadly includes:
Application Shortlisting → SSB Interview → Medical Examination → Merit List → Training
1. Shortlisting
The Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army) will shortlist applications based on the vacancy-to-call-up ratio for each engineering stream.
A stream-wise cutoff based on cumulative percentage may be applied.
2. SSB Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB at one of the following centres:
- Prayagraj
- Bhopal
- Bengaluru
- Jalandhar
The SSB selection consists of two stages. Candidates who fail Stage 1 are returned on the same day. The SSB interview can last up to five days.
3. Medical Examination
Candidates recommended by SSB undergo medical examination. Candidates declared medically fit are considered for joining according to merit and available vacancies.
TGC 145 Salary, Stipend & Pay Scale
During training at IMA, Officer Cadets receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100 per month, corresponding to the starting pay of Level 10.
After successful commissioning, the candidate is commissioned as a Lieutenant with:
Pay Level 10: Rs 56,100 – Rs 1,77,500
In addition, Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs 15,500 per month is applicable from Lieutenant to Brigadier, along with other admissible allowances.
TGC 145 Training & Commission
Selected candidates undergo approximately 12 months of training at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
After successful completion of training, cadets are granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lieutenant. The notification also provides one year of ante-date seniority for TGC engineering graduates for seniority, promotion and pay-increment purposes.
