Important conditions:
- Mechanical Engineering: the notice excludes Automation, Automobile, Industrial, Power, Manufacturing, Production, Mechatronics, Mining, Marine and Robotics Engineering.
- Experience counts only if it is full-time work gained after getting the minimum essential qualification. Part-time, internship, apprenticeship, freelance and consultancy work is not counted.
- Government and PSU employees must have at least 2 years' experience in the next lower pay scale. Candidates from the private sector must be from a company with a minimum annual turnover of Rs 500 crore.
- Candidates without ICAI / ICMAI membership are not eligible for the Senior Accounts Officer / Senior Internal Auditor post.
- All qualifications must be from recognised universities. The course names must match the notice, because no variation in nomenclature is accepted.
Selection Process
Superintending Research Scientist and Senior Officer posts (Grade C and B):

Final score = (CBT marks × 0.85) + PI marks out of 15. Candidates who qualify in the CBT are called for the interview in the ratio of 1:5.

Candidates are shortlisted for the skill test in the ratio of 1:2. The test covers Shorthand and Transcription for Confidential Secretary, and Translation, Essay, Writing, Computer Application and Bilingual Typing for Hindi Officer.
The CBT lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. Selected candidates must also be declared medically fit.

Approximate gross pay at the minimum of the scale is around Rs 1,50,000 in Grade C, Rs 1,20,000 in Grade B and Rs 90,000 in Grade A. Other benefits include DA, HRA or company accommodation, free medical benefits for self and dependents, gratuity, PF, house building loan, vehicle loan and group insurance.
All selected candidates serve a probation of one year. Selected Grade B candidates (except Senior Accounts Officer / Senior Internal Auditor) must sign a service bond to serve OIL for at least 3 years.
