SSC CPO SI Vacancy 2026

Age Relaxation

For certain widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands applying for Delhi Police SI, the upper age limit may extend to 35 or 40 years, depending on the applicable category.

SSC CPO 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For SI in Delhi Police and SI GD in CAPFs, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent by the closing date of application.

For SI Fire in CISF, candidates must have either:

• A Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or
• Matriculation/equivalent with a three-year diploma in specified engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical or Telecommunication Engineering.

For male SI in Delhi Police, a valid LMV driving licence for motorcycle and car is required on the date of the Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests. Candidates without this licence can still be eligible for SI posts in CAPFs.

SSC CPO Physical Standards & PET

The selection includes PST/PET, which are qualifying in nature.

For CAPF SI, the general height requirement is 170 cm for males and 157 cm for females, with specified relaxations for eligible categories.

Physical Endurance Test

Male Candidates:

• 100 metres race – 16 seconds
• 1.6 km race – 6.5 minutes
• Long Jump – 3.65 metres
• High Jump – 1.2 metres
• Shot Put (16 lbs) – 4.5 metres

Female Candidates:

• 100 metres race – 18 seconds
• 800 metres race – 4 minutes
• Long Jump – 2.7 metres
• High Jump – 0.9 metres

There is no minimum chest measurement requirement for female candidates.

SSC CPO 2026 Exam Pattern

Paper-I contains 100 questions for 100 marks:

Paper-II contains 200 questions for 200 marks, with English Comprehension carrying 100 questions and 200 marks. Negative marking is 0.25 marks in Paper-I and 0.50 marks in Paper-II for each wrong answer.

SSC CPO 2026 Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of:
