Under the 2025 Screening Examination Regulations, the Commission may conduct a screening examination for shortlisting candidates for interview. Where a screening examination is conducted, the final merit is determined by adding 75% weightage to screening-test marks and 25% to interview marks.
For an objective screening examination, one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for an incorrect answer.
The minimum efficiency standard is 35% for SC/ST candidates and 40% for candidates of other categories in the screening examination.
