- A candidate with M.S. followed by an M.Ch. in Surgical Gastro-Enterology can count the M.Ch. course period as teaching experience, so a 3-year M.Ch. most likely needs no extra experience, while a 2-year M.Ch. needs about 1 more year as Lecturer, Registrar, Demonstrator or Resident in a recognized Medical College to complete the 3 years.
