  • MBBS from an institution recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The candidate must have completed the compulsory internship and must produce the internship completion certificate and registration under any State Medical Council.
  • Candidates who have passed MBBS (including internship) not earlier than 3 (three) years before the start date of Junior Residency, i.e., 24th August 2026, will be considered.
  • Candidates whose compulsory rotating internship will be completed on or before 24.08.2026 are also eligible to apply and appear in the Written Exam and/or Interview, but must produce the original Internship Completion Certificate on the day of the exam/interview.
  • Candidates who have already completed 2 terms of Junior Residency (Non-Academic), either at AIIMS or elsewhere, will not be considered. Experience in Army services, Central Health Services, Private Nursing Homes, and Private practice is treated as equivalent to Junior Residency (Non-Academic) for this purpose.
