KPSC Recruitment 2026 (Assistant Controller, Audit Officer 68 Posts)

Overview

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has released the KPSC Recruitment 2026 notification for 68 vacancies, including 15 Assistant Controller (Group A) posts and 53 Audit Officer (Group B) posts under the Karnataka State Audit & Accounts Department. The recruitment will be conducted through a competitive examination as per the Karnataka Gazetted Probationers Recruitment Rules.

The online application process will be conducted from 28 August 2026 to 26 September 2026 through the official KPSC online portal. Eligible candidates with a Master's degree in Commerce, MBA (Finance/Financial Management), a UGC-notified Master's degree with Finance as a subject, or ICAI/ICMAI membership can apply, subject to the prescribed age limit.

The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for 06 December 2026. Candidates can check the complete details regarding post-wise vacancies, educational qualification, age limit, salary, important dates before applying.

Ex-Servicemen candidates : ₹50

General Merit : Minimum 21 years ; Maximum 35 years
Category 2A/2B/3A/3B : Minimum 21 years ; Maximum 38 years
SC/ST/Category-1 : Minimum 21 years ; Maximum 40 years

Audit Officer (Group B)	53	Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com), or an MBA (Finance), or an MBA (Financial Management), or an MBA/M.Com (Financial Analysis), or any other Master's degree with 'Finance' as one of the subjects, notified by the University Grants Commission, from a university established by law in India. Alternatively, candidates who are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or members/associate members of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, are also eligible.
