Overview

MECON Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, Ranchi, has invited applications from experienced professionals for contractual engagement on a Full Time Fixed Tenure (FTFT) basis.

A total of 159 vacancies are notified across 59 post codes, covering Additional Engineer, Deputy Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Deputy Executive and Engineer grades. The posts are available in disciplines including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Planning, Quality, Safety, Mining, Environmental and Contracts.

Engineering graduates and diploma holders with relevant post-qualification experience ranging from 1 to 16 years, depending on the post, and up to 50 years of age can apply. The engagement duration ranges from 1 to 5 years depending on the post.

The online application process starts on 3 October 2026 and the last date to apply is 17 October 2026. Applications are accepted online only through meconlimited.co.in.

The job locations are various MECON project sites across India, including Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Odisha and other locations.

MECON Limited is one of India's premier Design, Engineering, Consultancy and Contracting organisations, providing services across the project lifecycle from concept to commissioning, including EPC execution, for Greenfield and Brownfield projects.

MECON FTFT	195	The requisite educational qualification should be acquired through a Regular/Full-Time course only; certificate courses may be acquired through part-time mode also. Qualifications must be from Universities/Institutes recognised by Government, or accredited by councils/bodies such as UGC/AICTE/MCI/ICAI/ICSI set up by the Central or State Government. Work experience must be in a full-time job on a regular salary basis, in the relevant area stipulated against the respective post; freelance and entrepreneurial experience are not considered. Periods of on-the-job training as a Management Trainee (MT)/Executive Trainee (ET)/Graduate Trainee (GT) in PSUs only may be considered for work experience; Articleship, Internship, Academic Project, Teaching, or Research experience is not considered as post-qualification experience. Period of apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act is considered for the purpose of ascertaining required post-qualification experience. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
