Meghalaya Civil Secretariat Recruitment 2026 (Peon, Chowkidar and More 153 Posts)
Overview
The Government of Meghalaya, Secretariat Administration Department (Nazarat) has released Advertisement No. SAN.66/2019/89, dated 17 August 2026, inviting online applications for 153 Grade IV vacancies in the Meghalaya Civil Secretariat. The recruitment includes Peon, Cleaner, Sweeper, Chowkidar, and Mali posts under Level-1 of the Pay Matrix, along with the usual government allowances.
 
The online application process is open until 18 September 2026 (5:00 PM) through the official Meghalaya Recruitment Portal. Candidates who have passed Class VI, are 18 to 32 years of age as on 01 January 2026, and meet the prescribed eligibility conditions can apply online.
 
The selection process will be based on a 100-mark written examination covering General English and General Awareness, with no interview for these Grade IV posts.
