Overview

The Civil Defence & Home Guards Department, Meghalaya has released the Meghalaya Home Guards Recruitment 2026 notification for 558 Part-Time Guardsman and Equivalent Rank vacancies under the Meghalaya Border Wing Home Guards Battalion. The recruitment is open to trained Home Guards Volunteers who are Indian citizens domiciled in Meghalaya, and selected candidates will serve in the border areas of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo Hills.

The offline application process is open from 27 August 2026 to 28 September 2026, and candidates must submit the prescribed application form to the concerned District Home Guards Office, District Training Centre or Civil Defence Office. The selection process will be based on a Personal Interview conducted at Shillong and Tura centres.
