Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University (MPBOU) has released the MPBOU Recruitment 2026 notification, inviting offline applications for 40 faculty vacancies across Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and other academic posts. Assistant Professor	33	A Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university, plus a qualifying NET/ CSIR-NET/ SLET/ SET score - or a Ph.D. awarded under UGC (M.Phil./ Ph.D.) Regulations 2009 or 2016 (subject to the specified conditions, which exempts the candidate from NET/ SLET/ SET); or A Ph.D. from a foreign university/ institution ranked among the top 500 globally in the QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai) rankings at any time.
Associate Professor	05	A good academic record with a Ph.D. in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline A Master's degree with at least 55% marks A minimum of 8 years of teaching and/ or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor, with at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed/ UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 (as per the notification's Academic and Research Score criteria)
Professor	02	An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/ UGC-listed journals, a total research score of 120, and at least 10 years of teaching/ research experience as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor, with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates; or An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in a relevant/ allied/ applied discipline (from academic institutions or industry) who has made a significant contribution to the field, supported by documentary evidence, with 10 years of relevant experience.
