NIC Scientific/Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026 (376 Posts)
Overview

National Informatics Centre (NIC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, has released the Scientific/Technical Assistant-A Recruitment 2026 notification for 376 Group-B S&T (Non-Gazetted) vacancies. The recruitment will be conducted purely on the basis of a valid GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 score, with no written examination or interview.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official NIC Recruitment Portal from 01 September 2026 to 30 September 2026. Candidates can check the complete details regarding vacancies, eligibility criteria, GATE score requirements, age limit, pay scale, important dates before applying.

  • Computer Sciences & Information Technology: A pass in M.Sc./MS/MCA/B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software System, Information Technology, or Informatics (single or in combination), along with a valid GATE score in Paper Code CS.
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering: Candidates must possess a valid GATE score in Paper Code EC. The notification does not separately detail the qualifying degree fields for this discipline beyond the GATE requirement.
  • Data Science and Artificial Intelligence: Candidates must possess a valid GATE score in Paper Code DA. The notification does not separately detail the qualifying degree fields for this discipline beyond the GATE requirement.
