OPSC APP Recruitment 2026 (Assistant Public Prosecutor 172 Posts)

Overview

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) Recruitment 2026 notification for 172 Group-B posts under the Odisha State Prosecution Service, Home Department. Eligible law graduates with at least 2 years of practising advocate experience and knowledge of Odia can apply online through the official OPSC website.

The online application process will be open from 28 August 2026 to 28 September 2026 (5:00 PM). Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of Rs. 44,900 in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017, along with applicable allowances. The selection process includes a Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination and Interview, with both examinations scheduled to be held at Cuttack.

Candidates must be born not earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 2005

Assistant Public Prosecutor	172	Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognised University. At least 2 (two) years of experience as a practising Advocate, supported by a certificate from the concerned District & Sessions Judge in the prescribed format at Annexure-B. Certificate of Enrolment under Bar Council of India / State Bar Council. Must be able to speak, read and write Odia, and must have passed either the Middle School standard language test in Odia conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, or Matriculation (Class-X) with Odia as a subject.
