Punjab Lecturer Cadre Recruitment 2026 (1013 Posts)
Overview
The Department of School Education, Punjab has released the Punjab Lecturer Recruitment 2026 notification for 1,013 Lecturer vacancies across 12 subjects, including Punjabi, English, History, Mathematics and others. The vacancies include 829 fresh posts and 184 backlog posts.
Eligible candidates can apply online from 01 July 2026 to 27 August 2026 (Extended) through the official website, erd.punjab.gov.in. Candidates must have an M.A. with at least 55% marks along with B.Ed in the concerned subject. The application fee is ₹2,000 for General candidates, ₹1,000 for SC/BC candidates, while Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from the fee.

Application Fee
  • General / EWS / Ex-Servicemen / Sports :  ₹2,000
  • SC / BC (all sub-categories) :  ₹1,000
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) : Nil (No Fee)
Age Limit
  • Minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 37 years as on 1 January 2026.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Punjab government rules.
