Overview

The Railway Recruitment Cell, Southern Railway (RRC Chennai) has released the Southern Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2026-27 notification, inviting online applications from eligible Indian sportspersons for 67 Sports Quota vacancies. The recruitment covers posts under Pay Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 for the 2026-27 recruitment year, offering opportunities for candidates with qualifications ranging from 10th Pass to Graduate, along with the prescribed sports achievements.

This recruitment provides an excellent opportunity for talented athletes to secure a Government job in Indian Railways through the Sports Quota.

The online registration process commenced on 26 September 2026 at 9:00 AM and will remain open until 25 October 2026 at 11:59 PM through the official RRC Chennai recruitment portal.

Eligible candidates must have passed 10th Standard, ITI, 12th Standard, or Graduation, depending on the pay level of the post, and must possess the required sports achievements in the notified disciplines as specified in the official notification. Candidates should carefully verify the post-wise educational qualification, sports eligibility, age limit, and reservation rules before applying.

The selection process will be conducted according to Railway Sports Quota recruitment guidelines and may include sports trials, assessment of sports achievements, document verification, medical examination, and other procedures specified by Southern Railway.
