SGGU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026

Overview

Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Gujarat has released the Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 notification on 25 August 2026, inviting applications for 31 Assistant Professor vacancies across 17 academic departments. The recruitment offers an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates seeking faculty positions in a State University, with appointments to be made according to the UGC eligibility norms.

The online application process will begin on 27 August 2026 and remain open until 17 September 2026 through the official SGGU website. In addition to completing the online application, candidates must submit a hard copy of the filled application form along with the required supporting documents by 25 September 2026 (5:00 PM).

Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline and should have qualified NET, SLET, or SET, or hold a Ph.D. as per the applicable UGC regulations. The detailed department-wise eligibility, reservation rules, and other conditions should be verified in the official notification before applying.

The selection process will be conducted according to SGGU recruitment guidelines and may include shortlisting, interview, and document verification. Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Professors in their respective departments and will receive salary and benefits as per the applicable university and Government norms.
