SSC Junior Engineer JE Recruitment 2026 (1748 Post)

Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment 2026 notification for 1,748 tentative vacancies across Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Mechanical, and Telecom) posts in various Central Government departments. The recruitment is being conducted through the SSC JE Examination 2026, and eligible candidates with the prescribed Engineering Diploma or Degree can apply as per the post-wise eligibility criteria.

The online application process is open from 02 September 2026 to 22 September 2026 through the official SSC website and the mySSC mobile app. Depending on the department, candidates must satisfy the prescribed 18–30 years or 18–32 years age limit, and selection will be conducted through Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination), Paper-II, and Document Verification, with Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Medical Examination also applicable for certain BRO posts.
