Overview

The Supreme Court of India (SCI) has released Advertisement No. F.6/2026-SC (RC), dated 30 September 2026, inviting online applications for the post of Junior Court Assistant. The recruitment is for the preparation of a panel to fill 250 tentative vacancies of Junior Court Assistant, a Group-B Non-Gazetted post placed in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix with an initial Basic Pay of Rs. 35,400/- plus allowances.

Indian citizens holding a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in India, with knowledge of computer operation and a typing speed of 35 w.p.m., can apply online through the official website, www.sci.gov.in. The online registration starts on 07-10-2026 and the last date to submit the application is 28-10-2026 up to 11:55 PM.

Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on 01-09-2026, subject to the age relaxation mentioned in the notification.

Selection will be through four stages: an Objective Type Test, a Typing Speed Test on Computer, a Written Test (Descriptive) in English and an Interview. The Objective Type Test is tentatively scheduled for 20-11-2026.

Answer Key Objection Fee: Rs. 100/- per objection, refunded to the candidate if the objection is found to be valid.
