TN NHM Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 (4724 Posts)
Overview
The National Health Mission Tamil Nadu (NHM-TN), under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, has released the NHM Tamil Nadu Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 notification for 4,724 Contractual/Temporary Staff Nurse vacancies. The recruitment is being conducted through the District Health Society in each district to fill vacancies across institutions under the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, and the Greater Chennai Corporation.
 
The recruitment offers a major opportunity for GNM and B.Sc. Nursing qualified candidates seeking government healthcare jobs in Tamil Nadu. Appointments will be made on a contractual or temporary basis, and applications must be submitted through the respective district authorities.
 
The application process is offline, and candidates must submit the prescribed application form along with the required documents to their concerned District Health Office or District Health Society. The last date for receipt of applications is 25 September 2026 (5:00 PM).
 
Candidates who have completed GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council-recognized institution and are 50 years of age or below are eligible to apply. The district-wise vacancies and eligibility conditions should be verified carefully before submitting the application.
 
The recruitment covers vacancies across Tamil Nadu districts, except Tiruppur and Chengalpattu, where recruitment is currently excluded due to the Model Code of Conduct for elections.
