UPSC CGSPE 2027 Combined Geo Scientist Recruitment 2026 (127 Post)
Overview
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination (CGSPE) 2027 notification for 127 Group A & Group B vacancies across the Geological Survey of India (GSI) and the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB). The recruitment covers posts such as Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist, Scientist 'B', and Assistant Hydrogeologist, and eligible candidates with the prescribed Master's degree in the relevant discipline can apply online.
 
The online application process is open from 02 September 2026 to 22 September 2026 through the official UPSC website. Candidates aged 21 to 32 years (with applicable age relaxation for reserved categories) can apply as per the post-wise eligibility conditions.
 
The selection process consists of the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test (Interview). Candidates can check the complete details regarding department-wise vacancies, educational qualification, age limit, syllabus, pay scale, important dates, before applying.
