- Candidates must apply online only through the official website https://uppbpb.gov.in by following a two-stage process. First, applicants must complete One Time Registration (OTR) using a unique email ID, mobile number, and DigiLocker account for verification. After successful OTR, candidates can log in using their Account ID/Password, Aadhaar, or DigiLocker to fill the online application form for Computer Operator Grade-A. Applicants must carefully fill in all details, upload required certificates (education, reservation, age relaxation, domicile) via DigiLocker or scanned copies, and pay the application fee. Corrections are allowed only before fee payment. Only the last submitted application will be considered.
- Selection will be conducted in four stages. First, eligible candidates will appear for a Written Examination (200 marks) consisting of 160 objective questions from General Knowledge (50 marks), Mental Aptitude & Reasoning (50 marks), and Computer Science (100 marks), with a duration of 2 hours. Candidates must score at least 40% normalized marks to qualify.Qualified candidates will then appear for a Computer Typing Test, which is qualifying in nature, requiring a minimum speed of 25 WPM in Hindi or 30 WPM in English with 85% accuracy (Hindi typing on Unicode Inscript keyboard). Candidates clearing the typing test will undergo Document Scrutiny, where original certificates will be verified.The final merit list will be prepared based on written examination marks, following the state reservation policy, and will be subject to medical examination and character verification. In case of a tie, preference will be given to candidates with preferential qualifications, then by age (older candidate), and finally by alphabetical order of name as per the High School certificate.
