Job Details

  1. Candidates must apply online only through the official Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) websites as per the Centralised Employment Notice (CEN). Applications can be submitted via https://indianrailways.gov.in or through the respective regional RRB portals such as https://rrbcdg.gov.in. Applicants must first create an account using a valid personal mobile number and email ID, which cannot be changed later. After account creation, candidates can submit only one common online application for one RRB, upload a live photograph and running-handwritten signature, and complete the form. The application will be treated as finally submitted only after successful online fee payment. A modification facility (except account details and selected RRB) is available during 01.02.2026 to 10.02.2026 on payment of the prescribed modification fee.
  2. Selection will be conducted through a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of objective multiple-choice questions with negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer. The CBT duration is 90 minutes (120 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe). For the Junior Translator (Hindi) post, a Translation Test (TT) will be conducted as a qualifying stage. Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit and preferences will be called for Document Verification (DV), followed by a Medical Examination (ME) as per prescribed standards.
  3. The examination fee is ₹500 for all candidates except fee-concession categories, out of which ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT (bank charges deducted). For SC/ST/Female/PwBD/Transgender/Ex-Servicemen/Minority/EBC candidates, the fee is ₹250, which is fully refundable after appearing in the CBT (bank charges deducted). The fee must be paid online only through net banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI, and the refund is applicable only if the candidate appears in the CBT
