- Eligible candidates must first register for and appear in GATE-2026 in the relevant engineering discipline. After obtaining the GATE-2026 registration number, candidates must apply online separately through GAIL’s Careers section at https://gailonline.com. The online application link will be active from 17 February 2026 (11:00 hrs) to 18 March 2026 (18:00 hrs). Candidates can apply for only one discipline; applications without a valid GATE-2026 registration number will be rejected.
- Selection will be based on GATE-2026 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted according to GATE-2026 score and organizational requirements for further stages of selection, as decided by GAIL. Only GATE-2026 scores will be considered for recruitment.
- Appearing in GATE-2026 is mandatory for GAIL Executive Trainee posts. Selection will be based only on GATE-2026 marks, and candidates must apply online to GAIL with a valid GATE-2026 Registration Number.
