- Applicant must be a Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam.
- The Applicant must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- The Applicant must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
- Candidates must apply online for the post of Jail Warder through the official recruitment portal between 22-01-2026 and 22-02-2026. There is no application fee. Applicants must register only once using details exactly as per the HSLC certificate and submit the online application by uploading the required documents such as HSLC certificate, Employment Exchange card, Aadhaar card, photograph, signature, and caste certificate (if applicable). An edit option will be available for five days after the closing date.
- The selection process consists of Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Medical Examination and Physical Standard Test (PST), then a Written Test and Oral/Viva Voce. PET carries 40 marks, Written Test 50 marks, NCC weightage up to 5 marks, and Viva Voce up to 5 marks, making a total of 100 marks. Final selection will be based on merit, and in case of a tie, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
