- Candidates applying for the post of Chief Engineer (Electrical) in UPMRC must submit their application in the prescribed enclosed format through the proper channel. The application, along with a request to the parent organization for forwarding, No Objection Certificate (NOC), D&AR and Vigilance Clearance, and APARs ratings for the preceding four years, must be sent in hard copy to the Advisor (HR), Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited, Administrative Building, Near Ambedkar Samajik Parivatan Sthal, Vipin Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow – 226010. Submission of the hard copy is mandatory. Candidates may also send an advance copy of the application with all supporting documents to careers.hr@upmrcl.co.in. The application must reach the office on or before 07/02/2026, which is 30 days from the date of notification.
- Selection for the post will be based solely on an interview. Eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview at Lucknow. Candidates must be free from D&AR/Vigilance cases, and submission of a valid NOC prior to the interview is mandatory to participate in the selection process. UPMRC reserves the right to shortlist candidates for interview. No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.
- The tenure of appointment depends on the mode of selection. If appointed on a deputation basis, the normal tenure will be three (3) years, which may be extended as per requirements. If selected on an absorption basis, the candidate will be placed on probation for two years (including training) and will be required to execute a Surety Bond of ₹3,00,000 to serve UPMRC for a minimum period of three years, excluding any period spent on Leave Without Pay (LWP) or Extra Ordinary Leave (EOL).
