Job Details

  1. Applications for Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 09/2025 must be submitted online only through the official Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) websites. Candidates must first create an account, or use their existing login credentials if already registered for previous RRB CENs of 2024/2025. A valid mobile number and active email ID are mandatory, and details entered during account creation cannot be modified later. Applicants must carefully read all instructions, ensure they possess the prescribed educational qualifications by 02 March 2026, and select only one RRB/Railway Zone, indicating preferences for posts within that zone. Only one application is permitted; multiple applications will result in rejection. The application system captures a live photograph at the time of submission, and candidates must upload a scanned copy of their signature. After final submission, the examination fee must be paid online using internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI.
  2. The recruitment process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME). The CBT will be conducted in a single or multi-stage format, with a duration of 90 minutes (120 minutes for candidates using a scribe) and includes negative marking of one-third mark for each incorrect answer. Minimum qualifying marks vary by category, and shortlisting for subsequent stages is based on normalized CBT scores. Candidates qualifying in the CBT will be called for the PET, which is mandatory and qualifying in nature, with separate physical standards for male and female candidates. PwBDs, course-completed Act Apprentices, and Ex-Servicemen are exempt from PET. Shortlisting for DV and ME will be on a 1:1 basis against notified vacancies, and candidates must produce original documents and meet the prescribed medical fitness standards.
  3. The examination fee is ₹500/- for all candidates except reserved categories, of which ₹400/- will be refunded after deducting bank charges upon appearing in the CBT. For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates, the fee is ₹250/-, which is fully refundable (after bank charges) on appearing in the CBT. The fee refund will be credited only to the Aadhaar-seeded bank account of the candidate. The examination fee is non-refundable for incomplete, rejected, or non-submitted applications. A non-refundable modification fee of ₹250/- will charged for each modification made during the correction window, except for account creation details and chosen RRB.
