- How to Apply : Candidates must first register on the NAPS portal (https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) for ITI trades or on the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) for Degree/Diploma holders and complete their profile by uploading the required documents. After obtaining the registration/enrolment number, candidates must apply online through the POWERGRID website www.powergrid.in under Careers → Engagement of Apprentices → Apply Online. The application process is completely online and no application fee is required. The application window is open from 02.03.2026 to 11.03.2026.
- Selection Process : Selection will be based on merit according to the eligibility criteria and prescribed qualifications for the respective trade. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification in a ratio of 1:5 with respect to the number of training slots. The final merit list will be prepared based on candidates who successfully complete document verification and fulfill the eligibility conditions. There is no written test or interview.
- Duration : The apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year from the date of joining and will automatically terminate after completion of the one-year training period.
