BVC is Bihar Veterinary College, CoF is College of Fisheries, CoVAS is College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, and BSIDT is Bihar State Institute of Dairy Technology.
Category-wise vacancies: UR 25, SC 2 and EBC 7. A 35% horizontal reservation for women of Bihar gives 1 post each in Fisherman and Stenographer (UR).
Reservation is available only to candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar, and a domicile certificate is required. Candidates must submit a separate application for each post.

- Academic and experience score is worked out from the High School and 10+2 marks, plus 2 marks for each year of experience above the essential experience (maximum 10 marks). For Stenographer, only the academic score is counted.
- Only candidates up to 30 times the number of posts who score at least 50% in the academic and experience score are called for the written test.
- The written test is multiple-choice. For Level 1 posts, it is based on the Matriculation-level syllabus of the Bihar Board. For other posts, it covers General Knowledge, Mental Ability, and General Science and Mathematics (Matric level).
- Qualifying marks in the written test: General 40%, BC 36.5%, EBC 34%, and SC / ST / Women / PwBD 32%.
- For posts with a skill test, candidates up to 10 times the number of posts are called, based on the written test and academic score.
Selected candidates must furnish a service bond of ?1,000 on non-judicial stamp paper, to serve the university for at least 3 years.
Salary
The posts are paid in Pay Level 1 to Pay Level 5 of the Bihar pay matrix, as given in the post-wise table. The notice does not give the pay amount.
