Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen; male, female and third gender Home Guards are eligible.
- Must be an enrolled and trained Home Guard in the Bihar Home Guard organisation with at least 5 years of service/duty.
- Must have at least 10 years of service remaining as on the cut-off date.
- Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognised university (or equivalent recognised by the state government), as on 01-08-2026.

BPSSC Company Commander Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection involves three stages:
1. Preliminary Written Exam – 200 marks, 100 MCQs, 2 hours, General Knowledge & Current Affairs. Minimum 30% qualifying marks required. Top 20x vacancies (category-wise) qualify for Main exam.
2. Main Written Exam – Two papers:
- Paper 1: General Hindi — 200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours, 30% qualifying (not counted in merit)
- Paper 2: General Studies, Science, Civics, Indian History & Geography, Math & Mental Ability — 200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours
Negative marking of 0.2 marks per wrong answer applies in both stages.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Qualifying only, for top 6x vacancies (category-wise) based on Main exam merit:
