The fee must be paid only through SBI e-pay, and it is not refundable. Ex-Servicemen who have already secured a regular civil job in the Central Government or Delhi Government after using their reservation benefit are not eligible for the fee concession.
Age Limit
The age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 June 2026. Candidates must be born between 2 June 1999 and 1 June 2008 (both dates inclusive). The date of birth in the Matriculation certificate is the only proof accepted.

One vacancy in each post is reserved for Ex-Servicemen (included in the totals). The notice shows no PwBD vacancies at present, though both posts are identified as suitable for several disability categories. The vacancies are tentative and may change.

Candidates must be Indian citizens. The qualification is counted as on 11 November 2026. Only OBC (Delhi) candidates, as notified by the Government of NCT of Delhi, get the OBC benefit, and OBC (Outside) candidates must apply as Unreserved. The exam lasts 120 minutes (160 minutes for PwD candidates). It is bilingual in English and Hindi, except for the English and Hindi language questions. Each question carries 1 mark, and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR and EWS candidates and 45% for OBC (Delhi), SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen.
Interview: it carries 15 marks and is conducted by the Office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge (HQs). Up to 10 times the number of vacancies are called for interview, and there is no minimum qualifying mark in the interview. The final merit list is made by the District and Sessions Courts, Tis Hazari, on the basis of the MCQ and interview marks. Ties are broken in favour of the older candidate, then by alphabetical order of the first name. DSSSB will show draft answer keys online and accept objections within a fixed period.
Salary
The posts carry a pay scale of Rs 5,200 – Rs 20,200 with Grade Pay Rs 2,000 in Group C, as given in the notification. Other allowances are as per Delhi Government rules.
How to Apply for DSSSB Sweeper & Chowkidar Recruitment 2026
- Visit dsssbonline.nic.in and complete the one-time registration if you have not registered with DSSSB before. Use the same user ID and password for all DSSSB exams.
- Log in and open the application for Advertisement No. 05/2026 between 13 October 2026 (12:00 noon) and 11 November 2026 (11:00 PM).
- Select the post code you are applying for (46/26 or 47/26). Only one application per post code is allowed.
- Fill in your details and category carefully, and upload a recent, clear colour photograph with a plain white or off-white background, along with your signature and photo ID.
- Pay the ?100 fee through SBI e-pay, unless you are exempted.
- Submit the form and take a printout for your records.
No change of category or any other detail is allowed after submission, and applications by post, hand or email are not accepted. If you are shortlisted, you will have to upload your documents in the e-dossier within the given time, and missing it means your candidature is not considered. Do not wait for the last day, since the website can slow down.
