EIL Associate Engineer Vacancy & Eligibility Criteria

There are 20 vacancies for Associate Engineer Grade-I – Inspection. The vacancies are divided between Mechanical/Metallurgical and Electrical Engineering.

• Knowledge of welding processes and engineering drawings/codes is desirable.

Electrical Experience

Candidates should have experience in inspection of electrical equipment such as:

• Switchboards

• Motors

• Transformers

• Alternators

• Synchronous generators

• Variable Frequency Drives

• UPS systems

• Electrical control systems

• Battery chargers

• Power and control cables

• Electrical bulk items

Knowledge of IEC, NEC and IS codes is essential for the Electrical position.

Candidates must have obtained at least 60% or equivalent CGPI in the minimum educational qualification.

Selected candidates for Associate Engineer Grade-I will receive consolidated monthly remuneration including HRA and PF as follows:

EIL Associate Engineer Selection Process

The EIL Associate Engineer Recruitment 2026 selection process consists of:

1. Online application

Candidates who satisfy all eligibility requirements will be considered for the Personal Interview. Depending on the number of candidates, interviews may continue until 8:00 PM or, if required, continue on the following day.

EIL Associate Engineer Recruitment 2026 – Fixed-Term Tenure

The appointment is purely on a fixed-term basis, initially for a period of 3 years, as applicable.

The employment automatically ends after the fixed-term period unless terminated earlier. Candidates may be required to work anywhere in India or abroad according to organizational requirements. Working on a fixed-term basis does not create a claim for regular appointment in EIL.
