Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the essential technical qualification and performance in the Trade Test/Interview.

The weightage is:

• 50% – Essential technical qualification
• 50% – Trade Test/Interview

Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in each component. A relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks will be considered for SC/ST candidates.

If applications are received in large numbers, GCF Jabalpur may shortlist candidates for the Trade Test based on technical qualification marks, previous work experience and the description of previous work.

Candidates who fail to submit the required experience self-declaration will not be called for the Practical Test/Interview.

Selected candidates must also undergo a medical fitness test before joining.

GCF Jabalpur Tradesman Salary 2026

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary of Rs 31,840, comprising ?19,900 basic pay plus applicable DA calculated at 60%.

The notification also provides for a 3% annual increase on Basic Pay, subject to satisfactory performance. Performance will be evaluated half-yearly.

Employees will also be eligible for EPF as per applicable rules and an HRA arrangement according to AWEIL policy where a company quarter is not provided.

Contract Period and Working Hours

The initial engagement is for one year, which may be extended up to a maximum of four years, depending on factory requirements and individual performance. This contractual engagement does not confer the status of a regular employee.

The normal working schedule is 8 hours per day and 6 days per week, or approximately 48 hours per week, according to the production schedule.
