Selection Process

| Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| General Knowledge and General Studies (including M.P.) | 20 | 20 |

| General Hindi | 20 | 20 |
| English | 20 | 20 |
| Computer Knowledge | 20 | 20 |
| Total | 100 | 100 |
The preliminary exam is a multiple-choice test of 120 minutes with 1 mark per question. It is only for screening, and its marks are not counted in the final result. Candidates are shortlisted for the skill test in a 1:5 ratio.
In the skill test, candidates take a dictation of about 400 words in 5 minutes and then get 30 minutes to transcribe it on a computer. Half a mark is deducted for each error, and more than 120 errors means zero marks. The minimum marks in the skill test are 55% for General and OBC, 49.5% for EWS, 45% for SC, and 40% for ST and disabled candidates. Ties are broken in favour of the older candidate.
The result will be declared in two parts, 87% of posts as the main result and 13% as a provisional result, because the OBC reservation increase is pending in the High Court. Selected candidates must execute a bond of ?2,00,000 to serve for at least three years.
