PSSSB Clerk Selection Process 2026

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. Objective-Type Written Examination

   • The written examination will contain Part-A and Part-B.

   • Part-A will be a Matriculation-level Punjabi language paper.

   • Part-A is qualifying in nature.

   • Candidates need at least 50% marks to qualify Part-A.

2. Part-B Written Examination

   • The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Part-B.

   • Negative marking will apply.

   • Each question carries 1 mark.

   • 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

3. English & Punjabi Typing Test

   • Candidates shortlisted from the written examination may be called for a typing test.

   • The typing test is qualifying in nature and must be cleared.

4. Document Verification/Counselling

   • Candidates will be called for counselling and document verification.

5. Final Merit List

   • The Common Merit List will be prepared based on Part-B written examination marks among candidates who qualify the typing test.

PSSSB Clerk Salary / Pay Scale 2026

Selected candidates for the Clerk post will receive Level-2 pay with a pay of Rs. 19,900/- as mentioned in the notification. Other applicable allowances will be governed by Punjab Government rules.
