Punjab SSSB Selection Process 2026
For Clerk Posts
The selection process for Clerk posts includes:

Objective-type written examination

Punjabi language qualifying paper

Common Merit List
Part-A of the written examination is a Class 10-level Punjabi language paper and is qualifying in nature. Candidates need at least 50% marks to qualify.
The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Part-B. Negative marking will apply, with ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer.
For relevant Clerk posts, candidates called for the typing test must achieve 30 words per minute in both English and Punjabi. The Punjabi typing test will use the Unicode-compliant Raavi font.
For Driver, Translator and Field Artist
Candidates applying successfully for these posts will appear for an objective-type written examination.
The examination has Part-A and Part-B. Part-A is the qualifying Punjabi language paper requiring 50% marks, while merit is based on Part-B marks. Negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer is applicable in Part-B.
Candidates will subsequently be called for document verification/counselling as per merit and applicable vacancy requirements.
