Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CGL 2026 notification for 12,256 vacancies. The online application process started on 21 May 2026 and will continue until 22 June 2026. Candidates aged between 18 and 32 years as on 01 August 2026 are eligible to apply for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II |

SSC CGL Online Form 2026 Selection Process
Tier-I Exam
The first stage of selection is the Preliminary Exam. It is an objective-type test with four sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. The exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates who clear this stage will appear for the Mains Exam. The SSC CGL Preliminary Exam carries 200 marks and must be completed in 60 minutes.
Tier-II Exam
Tier II is a computer-based exam with different papers based on the post applied for. Paper-I is compulsory for all candidates and includes Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, and General Awareness. Paper-II is for JSO posts and tests Statistics, while Paper-III is for SI Grade-II posts and tests Economics knowledge. Tier II marks are important for the final selection.
Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who qualify for Tier II will be called for Document Verification. They must carry their original certificates to verify the details submitted in the application form.
Final Selection
The final selection is based on the marks obtained in Tier II (and Tier I for some posts). Candidates will be selected according to their merit and post preferences.
