UPPSC GIC Lecturer Mains Examination 2026 Selection Process

Stage	Details
Written Examination (Mains)	Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are required to appear for the UPPSC Lecturer (GIC) Mains Written Examination. The mains exam evaluates subject-specific knowledge, teaching aptitude, and other relevant skills. Only candidates who secure the required qualifying marks will move to the next stage.
Interview	Shortlisted candidates from the mains examination are called for a personal interview. The interview assesses the candidate's subject expertise, communication skills, teaching ability, personality, and overall suitability for the Lecturer post.
Document Verification (DV)	Candidates who qualify in the interview must attend the document verification process. They need to produce original documents such as educational certificates, category certificates (if applicable), identity proof, age proof, and other documents mentioned in the official notification.
Final Merit List	The final selection is based on the combined performance in the Mains Written Examination and Interview, subject to successful document verification. UPPSC will publish the final merit list of selected candidates on its official website.
