Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (Minimum):

• Government-recognized ITI certificate (minimum 1-year course) in Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, General Mechanic, Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Sheet Metal Worker, Automobile Body Repairer, Welder, Welder cum Fabricator, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter General, or Automobile Paint Repairer.

Additional Qualification (for Preference/Weightage):

• Apprenticeship completed in the same trade as the ITI course, with NCVT certificate and mark sheet.
• Apprenticeship in a different trade than the ITI course will not be considered for extra weightage.

Vision Requirement:

• Candidate must have clear vision (as per official notification).

GSRTC Helper Vacancy Age Limit 

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Eligible birth date range (base category): 06-10-1991 to 06-10-2008
• Age relaxation: General women +5 yrs; Reserved category men +5 yrs; Reserved category women +10 yrs; General Divyang men +10 yrs; General Divyang women +15 yrs; Reserved Divyang men +15 yrs; Reserved Divyang women +20 yrs
• Maximum age with all relaxations cannot exceed 45 years under any circumstances.

GSRTC Helper Selection Process

Selection is based on total 100 weightage marks:

Exam Pattern (100 Marks, Duration: 2 Hours):

• Merit list is prepared based on combined weightage (90% exam + 10% apprenticeship).
• Document verification follows in ratio of 1.5 candidates per vacancy.
• Widow candidates get 5% bonus marks; sportspersons (national/international/inter-university/all-India school level) also get 5% bonus marks on production of valid certificates.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will get a fixed monthly pay of Rs21,100/- for five years on a contract basis. No other allowances/benefits apply during this period except as per rules. After satisfactory completion of five years, candidates become eligible for regular appointment at the prevailing basic pay of the Helper cadre.

9. Upload Photograph and Signature (JPG format, max 10 KB each) using Application Number and Date of Birth.
10. Click "Confirm Application" after previewing — confirmation is mandatory and generates a Confirmation Number.
11. Pay the required online processing fee via the Payment Gateway using the Confirmation Number.
12. Click "Print Application" and save a printout for future reference.
