Basic Eligibility
Candidates should:
- Hold a BE/B. Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
- Have a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer Selection Process
The selection process includes a Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview.
1. Written Test/CBT
The written test carries 100 marks and contains two parts:
- Part A: Discipline-specific questions
- Part B: Aptitude/Ability Test
Part B contains numerical, logical, diagrammatic, abstract, and deductive reasoning questions. There is no negative marking in Part B.
Candidates must meet the prescribed qualifying marks in the written test. For unreserved candidates, the notification specifies 50% in each of Part A and Part B; for PwBD candidates against reserved posts, the requirement is 40% in each part.
2. Interview
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their written-test performance in a 1:5 ratio, with a minimum aggregate of 10 candidates.
3. Final Selection
For the final panel:
- Written Test: 50% weightage
- Interview: 50% weightage
In case of a tie, written-test marks, essential qualification marks, and date of birth are used as tie-breakers in the prescribed order.
ISRO Scientist/Engineer Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix.
The minimum basic pay is Rs 56,100 per month.
Apart from basic pay, candidates will be eligible for:
