A total of 106 Specialist Medical Officer positions are available. The required specialties include:

JRHMS Specialist Medical Officer Financial Bid & Remuneration

The quoted monthly amount must not exceed Rs 30,000 per month. The bid quoted by the candidate will be treated as final for facility-wise consideration.

How does the bidding process work?

For each facility, the bidder quoting the lowest acceptable monthly remuneration will be considered as L-1.

If two or more eligible candidates quote the same amount, preference will be given in the following order:

1. Post Graduate Degree over Diploma
2. Greater relevant experience
3. Date of birth
4. Other applicable criteria prescribed by the Department

JRHMS Specialist Medical Officer Selection Process 2026

The selection process will be based on facility-wise shortlisting and financial bidding, rather than a conventional written examination.

Selection Stages

1. Eligibility Screening
Applications will first be considered subject to fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility criteria.

2. Facility-Wise Bidding
Candidates can select up to three facilities and quote their monthly remuneration separately.

3. L-1 Selection
The candidate quoting the lowest acceptable remuneration for a facility will be considered L-1.

4. Tie-Breaking
In case of identical bids, PG Degree, relevant experience and date of birth will be considered in the specified order.

5. Facility Allocation
If the selected L-1 candidate does not join within 30 days, the department may offer the facility to the next eligible bidder.

Nature and Tenure of Engagement

The engagement is purely contractual and will continue only until a regular Specialist Medical Officer is posted against the concerned facility/post.

An agreement may initially be executed for three years. However, the engagement will be co-terminus with the financial year and may be renewed by mutual consent until regular posting takes place.

The contractual engagement does not provide any claim for regular appointment, absorption, seniority or other benefits applicable to regular government employees.
