SGMH Recruitment 2026 – Walkin for 38 Senior Residents Doctors Posts
Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital (SGMH), Mangolpuri, Delhi, has invited applications for 38 vacancies across 11 roles under Advertisement No. F.1 (325)/SR Interview (Reg)/SGMH/Pt-VII/2022/17297. The recruitment includes Senior Resident posts in Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and other specialties. Candidates must possess an MBBS degree with a postgraduate degree, diploma or DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized University or Institution and be registered with the Delhi Medical Council or provide proof of having applied for registration. In shortage specialties, non-PG candidates with two years of experience in the concerned specialty may also appear. Selected candidates will receive pay under 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 11, Rs. 67,700–2,08,700, plus allowances. Selection will be through a walk-in interview scheduled for 16 November 2026.

Who Cannot Apply for SGMH Recruitment 2026
- Candidates who have completed 03 years Senior Residency in any recognized institution on Regular or Ad-hoc basis, except under the relaxation for shortage specialties
Pay and Terms of Engagement
- Ad-hoc appointment for 89 days or till the regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier
- Extension up to a maximum of 03 years subject to satisfactory performance, conduct report from HOD and written request from the doctor
- Total Senior Resident tenure is three years including earlier Senior Resident service
- Appointments from the second merit list are for one year only and not renewable
- If a PG SR joins against a seat filled by a non-PG SR, Last come First out rule applies
- Selected candidates must join within 07 working days of the offer letter or the offer is cancelled
How Will SGMH Select Candidates?

- Separate merit lists for fresh candidates and for those who have completed 3 years senior residency
- Fresh candidates' list exhausted first; second list used only after that
- If interviews are not completed, they continue on the next working day or a fresh date is announced

How to Apply for SGMH Recruitment 2026
- Fill the application form for the post of Senior Resident enclosed with the notice and paste a recent passport size photograph.
- Complete the enclosed checklist and attach self-attested copies of certificates in the checklist order.
- Report at 4th Floor Conference Hall, Administrative Block, SGM Hospital on 16.11.2026 between 9 AM and 12 PM for registration.
- Bring the documents in photocopy and original; entry is not allowed after 12 PM.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
