Driver (LMV) vacancies by department: Food and Civil Supplies (5), Transport (2), Civil Aviation (2), DC West Kameng (1), DC Upper Subansiri (1), Rural Works Department (1), Directorate of Sainik Welfare-cum-Rajya Sainik Board (1) and Economics and Statistics (1).
Two vacancies in Health Services (ANM) are reserved for PwBD candidates with locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy. In all, 15 vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen: Fire and Emergency Services (4), Food and Civil Supplies (4), PHQ (4), IPR (2) and Directorate of Sainik Welfare-cum-Rajya Sainik Board (1). The vacancies are provisional and may change.

Uniform eligibility criteria: under the Arunachal Pradesh Government notification of 26 August 2026, every candidate must be an Indian citizen holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC), an original inhabitant with an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) certificate, and able to speak an indigenous tribal language of the state. The notice says the criteria apply to all categories of vacancies. Qualification, age and experience are counted as on 5 November 2026. The 3 years of driving experience for the LMV and HMV posts is counted from the date of issue of the licence.
For post codes 31/26 to 35/26, the driving licence must be valid on the closing date, the date of the driving test and the date of document verification. Candidates should check the official notification for the full list of conditions.

All driver and constable posts take Paper 7 (Road Safety and Traffic Signages). A candidate must score at least 33% in the Common Paper and the Technical Paper separately, and there is no sectional cut-off in the Common Paper. The syllabus is on the APSSB website, notified vide No. APSSB-13/9/2026/1437 and 1438, dated 8 October 2026.
Shortlisting for later stages: candidates are called for PST/PET in the ratio of 1:8, and for the Driving Test and Competency Test in the ratio of 1:3, as per merit. Ex-Servicemen are exempt from the PET but must qualify the PST. For ANM, the Competency Test has 4 stations (Vital Signs, Maternal and Child Health, Infection Control Protocol and Basic Procedure in Midwifery). Each candidate takes 3 stations and needs 21 out of 30 marks to qualify.
Final merit: Stages II to V are qualifying only. The final merit list is prepared on the marks in the written exam alone. The exam is held in the Itanagar Capital Region.

How to Apply for APSSB Group C Recruitment 2026
- Visit the official website, apssb.nic.in, and read Advertisement No. 06/26 carefully.
- Keep ready a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN or another government photo ID), a scanned signature (10 to 50 KB, black ink on white paper) and a recent passport-size photograph (50 to 100 KB), and copies of your educational and technical certificates.
- Fill in the online application form between 21 October 2026 (3:00 PM) and 5 November 2026 (5:00 PM).
- Choose your post and department or office in order of preference. The preference is final and cannot be changed, and the merit list follows your order of preference.
- Pay the ?150 fee online unless you are exempted.
- Submit the form, and later download your admit card from the website, since no admit card is sent individually.
Candidates must carry their admit card and the same original photo ID to the exam, and the name and father’s name on the ID must match the admit card. If you submit more than one form for the same post, only the latest is considered. Shortlisted candidates must upload and later produce documents such as the Matriculation certificate, APST certificate, Permanent Residence Certificate and technical certificates at document verification.
