Additional Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience or 1 year Graduate Apprenticeship training as on 31.07.2026 (only post-qualification experience counted).
- Lateral entry to 3rd semester (8-semester course) is considered equivalent qualification.
- Postgraduate integrated degree courses of 5 years' duration after 10+2 are also allowed for engineering disciplines.
GSL Naval Architecture Recruitment Selection Process
As per official notification, selection will consist of:
- Written Test: 25% General Aptitude + 75% subject/trade-related questions. Qualifying marks: 40% for General/EWS, 35% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC(NCL).
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (based on written test performance, in case of large response) undergo document verification.
- Group Discussion/Interview: Only candidates clearing document verification are eligible; same qualifying marks (40%/35%) apply.
- Final Grading: Written Test carries 85% weightage, Group Discussion/Interview carries 15% weightage, out of a total of 100%.
