C-DAC Chennai Recruitment 2026 (Project Engineer, Project Associate and More 59 Posts)

Overview

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai, a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has released the C-DAC Chennai Recruitment 2026 notification (Advertisement No. C-DAC/CHN/02/RCT/2026, dated 04 September 2026) for the engagement of 59 Project Staff vacancies on a contract basis. The recruitment includes Project Associate, Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Manager posts for various projects at the Chennai centre.

The engagement is purely temporary, for up to two years or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. Interested candidates must register online through the prescribed Google Form and then appear for a walk-in or online interview as per the schedule mentioned in the notification.

The online registration process opened on 04 September 2026 and will remain open until 22 September 2026. Candidates with the required B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MCA, or other post-specific qualifications, along with the prescribed experience for higher-level positions, are eligible to apply.

Selected candidates will receive consolidated monthly salaries based on the post and experience level, and they will work on advanced projects in areas such as electronics, embedded systems, AI, cybersecurity, HPC, software development, and digital technologies under C-DAC Chennai.

Project Engineer (Experienced)	27	B.E/B.Tech with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics. Desirable Skills: A range of technology tracks depending on the project – Backend/Java Ecosystem (Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Maven, Git, Microservices), or Frontend/Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Node.js, React, jQuery, GIS libraries), or Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra), or AI/Data Science (TensorFlow, Keras, CUDA DNN, Matlab), or Networking (BGP/VLAN/VPN/IPv6, CCNA/CCNP preferred), or Other software/cloud skills, or Hardware Security & Cryptography (post-quantum cryptography, secure coding, C/C++/Python/Java/Rust).
Senior Project Engineer (Experienced)	10	B.E/B.Tech with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics, OR Master’s degree in Computer Application with 60% or equivalent CGPA. Desired Skills: Similar technology tracks as Project Engineer – Backend/Java Ecosystem, Frontend/Web Technologies, Networking, Other software/cloud skills, or Hardware Security & Cryptography, depending on the project requirement.
Project Manager (Experienced)	08	B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/PhD with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics, OR Post Graduate degree in Computer Application, OR PhD in relevant subject, each with 60% or equivalent CGPA. Desired Skills: Cyber Security Knowledge (ICS/SCADA/OT systems, NIST/ISO27001/IEC62443, SIEM/EDR/Firewalls, CEH/CompTIA+/CISA/GICSP/OSCP certifications preferred) and Project Management (technical project leadership, JIRA/Asana/MS Project proficiency), along with technology tracks such as Backend/Java Ecosystem, Frontend/Web Technologies, Networking, AI and Data Science, or Hardware Security & Cryptography, depending on the project.
