GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 (Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and More 57 Posts)

Overview

Government Medical College (GMC), Nalgonda, functioning under the Director of Medical Education (DME), Telangana State, has released the GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 notification for 57 contract-based vacancies across 12 departments. The recruitment includes Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Tutor, and Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS) posts at the college and its attached Government General Hospital, and appointments will remain valid up to 31 March 2027, or until regular recruitment is completed or the requirement ends.

The notification was issued as Rc.No.156/GMC/NLG/2026, dated 01 September 2026, under G.O.Rt.No.1276, Finance (HRM.VII) Department dated 16 July 2026, and Rc.No.56/P4/2026 dated 03 August 2026 of the Director of Medical Education, Telangana.

Candidates with MBBS, MD, MS, or DNB qualifications, along with Telangana State Medical Council registration and the required teaching or clinical experience as per NMC norms, are eligible to apply. The maximum age limit is below 69 years for teaching posts and below 45 years for Civil Assistant Surgeon posts, with relaxation applicable as per Telangana Government rules.

This recruitment follows a completely offline application process. Eligible candidates must submit the prescribed application form, supporting documents, and the required ₹500 Demand Draft at the Office of the Principal, Government Medical College, Nalgonda, between 05 September 2026 (11:00 AM) and 10 September 2026 (up to 2:00 PM). No online application portal has been provided in the official notification.

The recruitment process will continue with application scrutiny, publication of merit lists, original certificate verification on 28 September 2026, and the final selection list on 30 September 2026. Selected candidates will receive consolidated monthly remuneration according to the respective post as per Telangana Government norms.
