MHRB Assam M&HO-I Recruitment 2026 (Medical & Health Officer 560 Posts)
Overview
The Medical and Health Recruitment Board (MHRB), Assam, has released Notification No. MHRB/73/M&HO-I/2026/5051, dated 03 September 2026, inviting online applications for 560 Medical & Health Officer-I (M&HO-I) posts under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam. The recruitment is for regular government appointments, and eligible candidates can apply through the NHM Assam online application portal.
 
The online application process will begin on 07 September 2026 and remain open until 20 September 2026. Candidates must be Indian citizens, possess an MBBS degree from an MCI/NMC-recognized medical college, and hold registration with the Assam Medical Council to be eligible for these vacancies.
 
Selected candidates will be appointed as Medical & Health Officer-I under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam, and will receive the applicable Assam Government Pay Level-14 pay scale, along with admissible allowances. The selection process will be conducted according to the recruitment board's prescribed criteria, including eligibility verification, merit assessment, and document verification.
