Overview

The Office of the District Women & Child Welfare and Empowerment Officer (WDCW), Nandyal District, Andhra Pradesh, has released Notification No. WDC02-ESTOAS(AWS)/1/2025-SA(1)-WDCWNDL, dated 02 September 2026, inviting applications for 70 Anganwadi vacancies across six ICDS Projects in Nandyal district. The recruitment includes 3 Anganwadi Worker (Mukhya Anganwadi Karyakartha) posts and 67 Anganwadi Helper (Anganwadi Ayah) posts, and applications are invited only from eligible local women candidates residing in the concerned village or mandal.

The notification was published on the official district website on 03 September 2026, and the application process is completely offline. Candidates must submit the prescribed application form, along with self-attested copies of the required documents, at their respective Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) offices between 05 September 2026 and 18 September 2026 during office hours. No online application facility has been provided for this recruitment.

Eligible applicants must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification, age limit, and local residency conditions mentioned in the notification. 10th pass is the minimum qualification for Anganwadi Worker posts, while Helper posts generally require 10th pass, although candidates with basic literacy may be considered if eligible candidates are unavailable. The honorarium is ₹11,500 per month for Anganwadi Workers and ₹7,000 per month for Anganwadi Helpers.

The selection process is based on eligibility verification, local residency verification, and document scrutiny, with no written examination. Selected candidates will be posted at Anganwadi Centres under the Atmakur, Nandyal, Dhone, Allagadda, Banaganapalli, and Nandikotkur ICDS Projects in Nandyal district.
